Pumpkins and My "Pumpkins"

AJ was off 2 hours early from school yesterday. With the beautiful fall weather we have, I took the kids out in the backyard to carve the little pumpkins we got from the patch. Actually, we got the pumpkins for pie making but I thought it would be cute to make little pumpkin faces and I was right!

Doesn't he look so excited? Ah, my poor Aerell is sick. We just came back from his 9-mo. appointment today and found out he's wheezing. So, now we have to use inhalers on him, which he hated by the way. The cold and hot weather has really put it's toll on him. I feel so bad for my baby. He's growing fine though. At 9mos. old, he weighs 21lbs 2oz. and stands 28 3/4 inches. The pediatrician was really surprised to see him walking. She said the 9-mo. old brain wasn't made for walking. Says who?

My little guy is trying to hide from me (I guess) lol! He still has a lot to learn that nobody can hide from mommy, lol!

Poor Aerell has been food for the mosquitoes lately.

Here are the pumpkins I've carved, lol! Please don't be too harsh on me. It's the first time I've ever done this in my whole life. We bought a carving kit that includes, patterns, eyes and carving materials at the patch. It sure made things easy for me.

The big boys modeling the pumpkins for me, lol! It was a lot of fun to have them copy the pumpkin faces, hehe!

Halloween Costumes '08

Normally, the kids' costumes are already here around the 2nd week of October but this year I didn't order it till the 3rd Sunday of the month. The costumes arrived here last Friday and I did a little photo shoot on Sunday, haha! AJ is a jedi this year. He's going to wear it to school this coming Friday all day and night long, haha! They have a halloween festival from 6-9pm so it should be fun. The kindergarten is in charge of the mini golf booth. Bear & I are supposed to be watching the booth around 7:30pm. I just hope it won't be too cold for the kids. Aiden and Aerell are coughing and having runny noses again.

Anyway, Aiden wanted to be a pumpkin this year but we couldn't find one in his size. So, he gets to be a vampire and I decided that Aerell is going to be a ragamuffin sailor, lol! When I first saw it on the catalog a couple of months ago, I just knew I had to get it for him, haha! Too bad it didn't come with the shoes though but I guess it's alright since he needs real shoes for walking now. Ok, here are a few pics...

AJ as a jedi...

Aiden as the most adorable vampire ever, lol!

And, Aerell as my living doll...I mean ragamuffin sailor, hehe!

Have a fun and safe halloween everyone! Don't eat all the candies, haha!

Wings Over Houston '08

We had the privilege of going to the air show this year. The weather was nice and sunny and the skies were clear and blue. I took over 200 photos and believe me it was hard to narrow them down for my blog presentation, lol! I don't wanna talk too much. Just take a look at the photos. I'll be back to post the kids' photos in their halloween costumes tomorrow or the next day.

This guy sure freaked me out. He's riding on a giant kite!

The following shots are from the Pearl Harbor Re-enactment show...

And, here are the amazing thunderbirds!

Mid-Week Fun

We've had so much fun this week and I have so many pics to share. On Wednesday, we went to Chuck E. Cheese for AJ's school fundraising night. We bought 100 tokens not knowing that each ride/game only needs a token. It's almost 2yrs since the last time we were there, haha! So, Bear and I ended up playing as well, lol! We gathered almost 300 tickets at the end. We never really cared if we won any game. We just wanna use all the tokens so we can get out of there, lol! I took my camera with me but never really get the chance to take lots of photos because I was busy having fun as well.

Then, on Friday, we went to the park and had another picnic. AJ was only half day at school. So, we picked him up and drove straight to the park.

Aerell has been using sippy cups for juices now. Ah, I wish I know how to potty train a baby, lol!

Like any other babies, he tried to catch some birds. He didn't have much luck but it sure was fun to watch him try.

Then, we let them feed the birds with some left-over rolls. Aerell just wouldn't give up on catching a bird. Such perseverance! LOL!

Stay tuned for our weekend fun. We went to the airshow yesterday. I'll have the pics on my next entry! Enjoy the rest of your weekends everyone!

Aerell's new video...

This entry will be available for a limited time only. As soon as I'm ready to post my next regular entry, I will delete this one. So, enjoy while you can, haha! I realized I still have quite a few videos that I haven't shared but don't expect me to share them all, hehe! I just wanted to share a few clips of Aerell here so you can see that he's really walking right now. The kid is getting into everything. He can open doors by himself, such a clever baby! He gets into the kitchen and plays with the oven and cabinet doors. Yesterday, he actually figured out how to get out of his crib. He found out it wasn't a very good idea though, lol! I wanted to let him do it again so I can take a video but what kind of a mother would I be if I do that knowing that my baby would get hurt from it? Well, I didn't exactly plan to blog this long. So, here it is. Enjoy!

[time's up! video has been moved to my friendster profile]

Pumpkin Patch '08

Yup, it's that time of the year again. This has become a tradition for us now. We've only started going to the patch 3yrs ago and although it's quite a drive for us, we always enjoy it. I don't remember getting a really great photo at the patch so far though, which is really upsetting. It's always too bright and the kids are squinting from the sun shining on their faces, argh! Oh well, just have to make the best of it all, I guess. Well, here are my faves from that day...

It's Aerell's first pumpkin patch!

Can you tell he's having a great time? I love the look on his face on the right photo. It looks as if he was trying to push that huge pumpkin, lol!

AJ's having a blast...

and of course Aiden too! I feel sorry for the pumpkins, lol!

I don't trust professional hair cutters, so I did it myself, lol! He loves it by the way, haha!

The boys on the hay ride...

and their most favorite ride of all! This is the main reason why the boys love to come to the patch, haha! I think even Aerell is getting the hang of it now.

And that's all I've got for now, lol! We're enjoying a nice fall weather right now with no humidity. How cool is that? It doesn't last for long though so might as well enjoy it as much as we can. My Aerell has finally said his official first word on Friday. It's mama of course, lol! I'll talk about that more in another post 'coz this is getting so long now. You all have a great week everyone and thanks for all the comments in my previous entry. I always appreciate them.

Still blogging on wifi...

This is so crazy. One minute I'm online and then after a minute or two, I'm offline again but at least I have the chance to get online and that's all that really matters for now, hehe! Anyway, I'll try to make this as quick as I can. I have to go pick AJ up in an hour. My boys got runny noses and are coughing like crazy. I feel so bad for them. AJ got it first on Friday when he came home from school and the other 2 started yesterday. I had to wrestle with Aerell every time I suction his nose. I know it's not comfortable but it does help them get rid of it faster. I am hoping they'd get well soon. October is so full of things to do that we don't really have time to get sick.

Last weekend, we went to the mall and visited my mother-in-law. It's been a little over a month since the last time we saw her and the kids were really missin' her. We were going to let the kids play at this very lovely play place at the mall with an enchanted kind of theme but it was full and the line was long. So, we just let the boys enjoy the rides including the carousel. It was so fun to watch Aerell. It was his first time on the rides with his brothers and he was giggling the whole time! Speaking of Aerell, he's already walking by himself for 2 weeks now. He keeps going farther each day. I'd say by Christmas, this kid will be running and chasing his brothers. He'll be 9mos. old on Wednesday and has already 8 teeth.

I've talked too much already. Here are some pics from last weekend...

Watch Aerell's face while riding the virtual roller coaster. He cracks me up. LOL!

AJ wasn't so happy about the roller coaster ride at first but in the end he still enjoyed it.

That's it for this Monday. Thank you very much for the comments on my previous entry. Sorry if I still haven't visited your blogs. My connection right now is not reliable so please understand. Have a great week everyone!

Mojo's back...

Happy Friday everyone! I am blogging from my laptop right now because we lost internet connection. In other words, I'm sharing with a neighbor's wifi connection, lol! I'm not sure how long I'd stay connected so I'll do this in a hurry. I have been scrapbooking the past couple of days. I am so happy I got 4 layouts done. I noticed that they all kinda look the same though, lol! Oh well, who cares? I'm happy I finally get to play with some of the kits I purchased months ago that I haven't touched yet. Oh, we'll have our regular internet connection back on Wednesday by the way. We've had enough of COMCAST. So, we're switching back to AT&T DSL. If you're planning on sending me an email, you might wanna put it on hold for now because I haven't set up a new account yet.

Ok, let's move on to the layouts now...

Weekend Shots

Sorry, I don't have a catchy title today, lol! After the hurricane, our life is getting back to normal again but it's still different outside the house. Most of the places we used to go to are still closed from all the damages they got. The Kemah Boardwalk for one was under water during the hurricane and I'm not sure if they'll open soon enough for Halloween or not. It wouldn't be as fun but I'm sure we'll be able to find something else.

I wasn't feeling very good last weekend. I broke out in hives early Thursday for unknown reasons. As most of us know, hives is an allergic reaction to something but it could also come from too much stress or nervousness. I don't think it's anything I ate but given that there are so much trash out in the neighborhood (which is starting to smell) might have just done that. Of course I've been under a lot of stress lately too about something I just can't share.

Enough of my rambling, let's move on to the pictures, shall we? We wanted to go to the San Jacinto Battleground that day but they were closed. I think they were under water during the hurricane as well. So we end up having our little picnic on a gazebo facing the bay.

I found a bunch of tires piled on top of each other and thought it would make a good background, hehe! My AJ is starting to get some freckles now. I think it's from being outside a lot.

Is it just me or is he really looking more like a little gentleman here? Hehe!

Aiden thought he could get away from his sneaky mom, lol! I've learned some tricks over the past few years *wink*.

Daddy's not so happy with the sun shining on his face, hehe!

I don't always get the chance to take a photo of all 3 of them. It's a hard job I tell ya. So, although this isn't a picture perfect shot, I'll just go ahead and take what I can get, ha!

Took this photo on Friday after we got home from the doctor. I haven't been to the doctor so much in my life till now. At least I don't have them (hives) on my face.

Thanks for viewing! I hope you all are in good health and are having a great day today. Till next time! Thanks for the comments on my previous entries as well. I appreciate them!

The reports are in!

I'm talking about AJ's progress report here. School just re-opened yesterday due to the loss of power. There were big trees that fell on the school's power lines so it took a while to restore their power. I guess they weren't such a priority because it's a private school, hay! Anyway, I am very happy about AJ's progress in school. Considering that he didn't go to Pre-K compared to 95% of his class, I think he did extremely well. However, he does need to work on his listening skills because he talks too much in class. It's like everyday, his name is on the board for talking. I knew it from the very beginning too. AJ didn't start talking till he was 9 months old but boy when he started talking, it was never ending. He was able to speak really well and clear by the age of 3. We get compliments about his talking skills a lot back then but I also knew it will get him in trouble once he starts school. I have no idea how to help him in this area. For now, I feel like all I can do is to just remind him all the time about it. He is smart alright but I really do wish there is something more I can do about this.

They have not started the reading and spelling part yet, just in case you're wondering.

Last but not least, I'd like to share a new layout. It's been way overdue but my mojo is gone. I don't care though, I just really need to make one, hehe! Got a lot of new kits lately and I haven't even use all of them yet.

Oh, happy October first everyone! The weather is getting real nice and cool over here now. I'm really feeling the fall season now! Can't wait to do a lot of fun stuffs this month. Have a great day everyone. I'm off to do some chores. Thank you very much for passing by especially for those who left comments on my previous entries. I appreciate them as always.
