Spring Tee-ball...

started last March 29th and the kids had their pictorial in the morning. The little boys in their uniforms were just too cute to look at, hehe! They all had their pictures taken individually and as a team. We only ordered the team photo because I'll be taking a lot of his pics anyway. Gosh, my baby is growing up so fast. He doesn't even look like a baby anymore, lol! I still can't believe I have a 5-yr old now. I'm starting to feel old inside, lol!

I think the shirt they gave him was too big. It's more like my size, lol! Seriously, I tried it on me and it really was my size. I'm going to try to shrink it later and see if it works, lol!

They had their first game (against the A's) later that day. These were some of the "live action" (sort of) photos I got, haha! Honestly, my heart was beating so fast every time he comes to the stand to bat. Taking photos actually helps to calm me down so that's a good thing.

Unfortunately, their team lost but the kids tried their best and that's all that really matters. I think these 5-yr olds are still a little too young to really work as a team. Hopefully, they'll win next time. Next game will be tomorrow night against the Yankees. It should be fun, lol!

Ok, I'm off to dinner. Will visit your blogs later. Thanks for all the comments/messages you left on my previous entries. I appreciate them all. Have a great day everyone!

For Grandpa...

My dad is the only one who hasn't seen Aerell yet. I told him he can look at the pics I got on friendster but he said he doesn't know how to log in, lol! So, I thought I'll make it easy for him. Took these photos this afternoon in the backyard. It's looking more and more like spring out there now. I see so many weeds blooming and they're pink on top of that, lol! By the way, I might delete this entry in the next few days so enjoy for now.

Easter '08

Good day everyone! How's your Easter? Ours was just lovely. The kids enjoyed the egg hunting a lot. I think this has been AJ's first serious egg hunt since he was sick the previous years and last year it was raining on Easter. This is Aiden's first egg hunt experience and he did extremely well. On Saturday night, I boiled some eggs and we all colored it afterwards excluding the baby of course and this is our finish product.

We actually had a long weekend because Bear was off from work since Friday. We did a lot of things one of which is getting the boys' haircut. I'll talk about that on a later entry though. Anyway, we spent Easter at my mother-in-law's house. The boys hunt for the eggs at her backyard. Here's Aerell sitting comfortably on Grandy's lap.

The boys immediately opened their eggs as soon they were done egg hunting. Aiden actually helped me put chocolates in those plastic eggs while AJ went out with hubby for his tee-ball practice. AJ loved the coin chocolates and was kind enough to smile for the camera.

Aiden loved the chocolate eggs and I was really surprised at how fast he was able to take off the wrapper on each chocolate, lol! I think they look so cute with a chocolate-y mouth like that, lol! He was actually showing off his chocolate egg on this photo.

Then, there's my 2-month old sleepyhead. I tried so hard to wake him up a bunch of times yesterday so I can get a better photo but I thought this one is still cute, lol! It looked like he was just too tired to hunt for eggs, hehe!

Since, it's his first Easter, there's always that traditional photo with his own bunny rabbit. I got a few more photos on friendster that I didn't include here.

It was a lovely Easter for all of us indeed and I hope yours went great as well. Have a great day everyone!

sorry photos are deleted!

Our First Bunny Hutch

Advance Happy Easter to all. I know you're all gonna be busy with your own Easter celebration this weekend so I thought I'd share our first ever bunny hutch today. The kids and I made this yesterday. We didn't plan this at all but when we were walking around Walmart last weekend to buy groceries, AJ saw it on the cake aisle, hehe! I thought it was pretty cute and very colorful so we decided to get it just so we all can have a little Easter fun. After our first gingerbread house experience, I'd say we really came a long way, lol! The house is actually pre-bulit this time. All we did was just decorate it but I had to make the icing myself so it's actually more work but it's ok, I had a lot of fun and the kids enjoyed it as well.

Here are the 2 little decorators who helped me out. Shortly after I took all these photos, Aiden sneaked out on me and ate the 2 poor little bunnies standing outside the house, lol! I told them we'll wait till Easter to eat this house but I guess those 2 little bunnies were just calling Aiden to eat them, lol! I still couldn't stop laughing when I think about it.

Once again advance Happy Easter to all! Thanks for dropping by and for all the comments/messages you left on my previous entries. I appreciate them a lot!

A Weekend of Family Fun

Warning: This post is loaded with photos (again!). Happy Monday everyone! It's been a long time since the whole family had real fun and since last weekend's weather was good for outdoor activities, we went to the Houston Rodeo Carnival. My mom-in-law went with us and even though it was hotter than we've expected, she was a trooper. We truly had so much fun riding the rides and playing the games. I felt like I was a kid again, lol! We bought a $50-fun pass and just ride anything we like. Aiden enjoyed every ride. He wouldn't even want to get off of one ride, lol! On the other hand, AJ's behavior was so disappointing. He only rode on 3 rides and was so scared to try the others. The roller coaster gave him a trauma and he was crying every time we try to get him to ride on the other stuff they have. I never expected AJ to act that way and I was surprised at how fearless Aiden acted. There were a couple of rides he rode by himself and he was just smiling the whole time. Too bad they didn't allow the baby to ride with us. Aerell turned 2 months old that day and was loving the heat, hehe! Here are some photos.

Later that afternoon, we went to Jo and Steve's place for a get together. They moved in to a new house so we got to see their lovely new place. Anyway, got some pics here. First is AJ and Zach. Zach is Tom and Cathy's son and he's 3months older than AJ. Cathy and I were pregnant together back in 2002 and now we have these 2 lovely boys, hehe! Actually, everybody in our group has boys so it's really noisy when they're all together not to mention the fact that my boys are the loudest, lol! And speaking of noise, this photo is full of it. I forgot to check my camera settings and later on found out that I was using ISO 400. I always try to use low80 on my pics 'coz I want less grains as much as possible. Anyway, I think it still came out fine.

Here are some of my lovely friends. They're on friendster too. Oh, I informed them before we took this pic that I am going to post this here in my blog, hehe! Left to right: Gina, Mary Ann, me with Aerell, Jocelyn (Jo) and Cathy.
I tried not to make this a very long post but I failed. Easter is gonna be this weekend and I am so excited! We got quite a few activities for the kids so it's gonna be a busy week here. Thanks for reading this far. Have a great week everyone!

My Boys

For the past couple of weeks, the weather here is unpredictable. One day it feels like spring and then the next day back to winter again. This first photo was taken when it was 75 degrees outside. Aerell is a big boy. On his latest check up at 6weeks, he was already 12lbs 1oz and is 22 inches long. Considering the fact that he's breastfed 100%, you can say that mommy's milk is very fattening, lol! I had my postpartum appointment last Tuesday, which is actually 2weeks later than it should have been due to the fact that I got sick for almost a whole week. I have lost 25lbs from the day I gave birth. The day I went into labor, I weighed 140lbs and last Tuesday, I weighed 115. I'm hoping I could lose at least 10lbs more but 15 would be great, hehe! Being a short person, 105lbs would be an ideal weight for me.

The following photos were taken a week later than the first one above. I didn't get to have a photo shoot for AJ's 5th birthday since he was sick. The fact that he doesn't really care for pictures was enough for me to just wait when he was all better. My boys aren't easy to take photos with. They complain about almost everything there is. AJ was complaining about the sun shining in his face here eventhough it wasn't really on his face. It's aggravating to hear their complaints sometimes but I try to be patient if I want good results, lol!

Aiden on the other hand, doesn't complain at all. He just tries to do everything to avoid the camera. He couldn't care less if I was taking his photos or not, which to me is more aggravating, lol! He rarely pose at all and if he does, it's usually when daddy's right there watching, giving them the "look", lol! Aiden is getting really chubby since the beginning of the year. I need to get him out and running so he lose some of that chubbiness but my mom thinks it's cute, lol!

I love seeing my boys in the same outfits. I'm sure you've noticed that by now. These are actually their Christmas outfits last year but they have never worn it that much. I hate buying expensive outfits that they only wear once so I thought it would be nice to have them wear it again just for fun, lol! Last Tuesday after my dr's appointment, we went shopping for their Easter outfits and I got 3 that look exactly the same, lol! I can't wait to see all 3 of them wearing it, lol! Will share pics of course.

And, here's my little man. He's 2days short of 8weeks old here. He'll be 2 months old tomorrow. Oh how time flies! I honestly still feel like it was just yesterday when I first saw him. Ah, I just wanna hold him forever. I feel like if I let go, he's gonna be up and running probably chasing his big brothers. Aerell has been smiling a lot now and he loves it when you talk to him. He'll talk back at ya and just smiles so sweetly.

By the way, an update to AJ's tee-ball try out. He's now in the Red Sox team. They've been practicing a lot and actually played 2 pre-season games sort of a practice still. Opening games will start on March 29th and they should have their uniforms by then. It's another thing I can't wait to take pics with. They practice 3days a week at 6pm so we usually have an early dinner over here. Once the season starts, games will be 2x a week so we're gonna be pretty busy from then on. Well, this is getting so long. Sorry if you're bored now. Thank you for all the wonderful comments/messages you left on my previous entry. I appreciate them as always!

February Re-Cap

Finally got the chance to come out here and update you all. I can't believe I have allowed February to just go by. Anyway, first things first. Baby Aerell is 1 month old after Valentine's day. We had a nice Valentine's day this year inspite the hectic schedule we have here. We all went out to eat and hubby gave me a big heart-shaped box filled with my fave chocos. I actually still have a few chocolates left. I am trying to be a good girl this time, avoiding too much sweet and fattening stuffs, hehe! Aerell is becoming bigger and cuter each day. What do you expect a mom would say? LOL! Didn't get a formal portrait for his 1-mo. photo but I think it's better to capture them in their own moments. I took this photo while getting his bath ready.

On Feb. 21st, AJ turned 5! Oh how time flies. I now have a 5-yr old. I'm starting to feel old, lol! We didn't get to have a big party for AJ not even a small one because he was sick on the week of his birthday. We were going to have a small party at the park that Saturday (Feb 23rd) but the wind was so wild and we were all freezing. He did get to play at the playground a little bit and was delighted to open his presents on his actual birthday. So, he didn't really care about another birthday celebration right after that. AJ and I made these cupcakes. They're not very pretty to the eyes but they're definitely yummy! It's all chocolate as the birthday boy requested. We also had pizza that night.

Right after our lunch at the park with my mother-in-law, we headed down to the baseball field where AJ tried out for his first tee-ball experience. Below are the photos I took from that event. AJ hit the ball 3/3 on the try out but he didn't know what to do when it was time to catch/stop the ball, lol! It was a lot of fun to look at and Aiden couldn't wait for his turn which will be in 3years time, lol! By the way, I had to take AJ's photos below through a net wire (don't know exactly what to call it, haha!) so you get the picture there.

The following Monday Feb. 25th, AJ and Aerell got some shots and on Tuesday, I got sick up to Friday night. Thank heavens for a great husband who took care of me the whole time. It felt great to be waited on, (lol!) but I still hate being sick. I'm glad that's all over now. Well, I think this will be it for now. At least I got February covered. Thank you so much for keeping my blog company while I was gone. I appreciate it a lot! Will visit your blogs in a little bit. Need to feed the little one, hehe!
