Memorial Holiday Weekend

Miss me? I haven't been blogging a lot lately but I'll try to make up for it with this entry, hehe! Before I'll start with the weekend stories, I'd like to make a quick update on Aiden. Last Monday, May 21, Aiden turned 18mos. old and that same day he also said goodbye to his beloved "milky bobble" (see LO below). The whole story is written down there so if you're interested, you can read it off of the layout. It's been more than a week and he's doing really great. No crying/whinning at night at all. I'm so proud of him!

Fast forward...Bear decided to take Friday off when he came home on Thursday so we can travel somewhere and have some fun for the Memorial day Weekend but then who would have guessed that the next day, we'll all get sick? Oh my goodness! That was totally horrible. I'm not sure which food made us sick since I made meat loaf and luncheon meat in a row. At first, I thought it was the meat loaf because the next day, Aiden was throwing up and had a little diarrhea while the rest of us were fine. Friday, around 4:50am, AJ was crying in his bed because he was throwing up. What a way to wake up. Around the same time, I was feeling the same thing. While Bear took care of AJ, I went back to bed to lay down to see if I can get rid of the nausea and luckily it went away! I got up around 9am and all of sudden, I just had to throw up. It's like AJ and I were having a contest. Aiden was fine the whole time but then Bear started feeling bad too. He wasn't throwing up like AJ and I but he complained about his stomach. Even when he was sick, he still went out to get us some Gatorade and a few other things we needed to make some chicken soup. Thank God, we stopped throwing up after lunch time. I think the chicken soup and Gatorade really helped us a lot.

Saturday, we woke up feeling so much better. Up to now, I still can't figure out what went wrong on Friday. Anyway, we were just so grateful that we were all back to normal to celebrate the long weekend. The weather wasn't good though. It rained all weekend long so that means we can only do things indoors. So, we went to the mall that day. We got Aiden a new pair of tennis shoes and a pair of sandals for myself. Then, Bear and the boys enjoyed a carousel ride just before we left, hehe!

Sunday, we stayed home half of the day and then went out to had some lunch at a Chinese buffet. They got so many yummy foods to choose from. We all enjoyed that and then we went to the store to get a few things for the house and went home around 6pm.

Yesterday, we spent the day at the Houston Museum of Natural Science with my mother-in-law. We had a great time at the planetarium and watched this. I can't believe it was such a short show but we sure had a great time and enjoyed that a lot. After the planetarium, we watched the IMAX Deep Sea 3D. It was my first time watching a 3D show and I was totally impressed! It was like we were under water scuba diving or something. Just WOW! Aiden was so fascinated that you could see him trying to grab those tiny yellow fishes with his little hands. Just too cute to watch. AJ keeps taking his 3D glasses off every time he gets scared, haha! Unfortunately, Aiden made a scene half way through so Bear had to take him and watched the rest of the show up on the stairs. I actually thought it was funny but some people didn't like it. Aiden was just making some fake laughs that were so hilarious and I'm sure you know that when we tried to stop him, he cried! He always make scenes every time he's tired or sleepy so we knew he needed a nap right then.

So, that was it. I told ya I'll make up for the days I didn't get to blog, lol! How's that for a recap? I hope you all had a great weekend as well. Thanks for visiting and reading my blog. I decided no pics this time 'coz it will take me forever to resize and insert them here. Will do that next time probably. Have a great week everyone! I'm off to do the laundry, Tuesday is my laundry day you know *wink*.

There's An Artist In Da Haus

Excluding me of course if I count, lol! Anyway, this past weekend was a total waste. I was so pissed I ruined the whole weekend and stayed in bed. Saturday night, I stayed up till 2am watching reruns of Sabrina, the teenage witch because obviously, I wasn't sleepy from all that sleeping I did during the day so as you can expect, I stayed in bed on Sunday again for staying up late Saturday night. Arrggh!!! Don't even ask why. Hubby said it's probably just that time of the month again.

Hold on a minute, I said it was a total waste...uhmmm, not necessarily 'coz we actually went to Pizza Hut and had pizza for dinner last night but then again, the damage has been done, lol! I can be so stupid at times and I really hate that. Let's move on...

Last week, we got AJ a bucket of colored chalks 'coz he's really been asking about drawing in the driveway. I really didn't know what he was planning to draw and on top of that, I didn't know he could draw, lol! So, while we were grocery shopping at Walmart, we walked by this aisle full of colored chalks and since they were only for a dollar, we got him one. He's been bugging me to start coloring the driveway when we got home that afternoon but I told him we'll do it later that week.

I was really surprised at this guy's little talent. He even looked so serious...or maybe just annoyed at his mom for disturbing him ;).

His masterpieces? Portraits of mommy and daddy! You got that right people. If you look closer, he even draw earings for me. Isn't he sweet? LOL! Can you imagine all these faces in our driveway? Yes, they're all over the place but the little artist is definitely proud of his artwork. When visitors came over, he bragged about his masterpieces and explained it to them, lol!

I scrapped a bit this past week. Not much inspiration so I only got to finish one. I hope I can get creative again and be able to scrap more this week.

Mother's Day Weekend

I love Mother's day. It's like celebrating my birthday twice in a year! Anyway, I didn't feel too good on Saturday so I just stayed home. I feel bad I didn't get to do what I had in mind but I know there will be more Saturdays for me to do it. My husband and AJ went out on Saturday and got my Mother's day presents. I honestly didn't think that they were gonna do that. They even found a great hiding place and told me about it later that night. What a great way to keep me awake all night! LOL! I went to bed past midnight but I was printing pictures and scrapbook pages. I have a project to finish but I haven't started on it yet. SO...wanna see what my sweet boys brought me on Mother's day? I also got a set of jewelries that we're not in picture.

We had a family lunch and dinner at my MIL's house so we spent the rest of Mother's day over there. The kids always love to play in her backyard but not for long because it rained that afternoon. For some reason, I wasn't in the mood for pictures. I noticed for the past 2-3days that I have been short-tempered so, I didn't wanna ruin the day just for pictures! I'm kinda sad though that I didn't get to have a Mother's day photo with my boys:(.

A Wedding and a Movie

That's what this past weekend to us was. On Saturday, May 5th, the son of hubby's cousin got married. It was just a lovely day. I love weddings, hehe! As much as I want to share the newlyweds' photos here, I don't think it's appropriate to post their photos in public without their permission. So, I'm sorry but I have a few photos of hubby and I (see below)...that isn't too bad, is it? LOL! Anyway, the kids were with us as well but I didn't get a good photo of them as they weren't very cooperative at that time. I'll be sure to post a few pics in the next posts or so for you to see what they wore, hehe! They look like little gentlemen and actually got quite a few attention/compliments from the other guests *wink*.

By the way, May 5th is also the 28th wedding anniversary of my dear parents. Happy Anniversary Mama and Papa! Love ya both! I sent them a txt message that day. I wish them all the best in their marriage and more years of happiness and anniversaries to come. They've had some ups and downs in their relationship but I'm so proud of them for working out their differences and actually celebrated their 28th anniversary. Cheers to you guys!

Yesterday, we finally got to see Spiderman 3!!! Woohooo! I'm telling ya, it's such a great movie. So, if you haven't seen it yet, go to your nearest theater now! I assure you that it'll be worth all your pennies. We really enjoyed ourselves and I'm sure you would too. Spiderman 3 is actually the number 1 right now earning the most in the movies. Wow! They really deserved it.

Oh Saturday was also National Scrapbooking Day (NSD) and I went shopping later that night. Got so many great deals and lovely stuffs. I spent $30 on a few things and I think I did great because I actually thought I'll end up spending more than that. With that said, I wasn't able to scrap at all. Just too busy shopping and the stores were kinda slow too coz I think everyone was shopping as well. I doubt if there were a lot of scrappers who actually scrapped that day, lol!

PS:
Belated happy birthday to my dear friend, Kitty and Congratulations to all the preggy bebots! I might be next? According to the Chinese calendar, I have a great chance of having a girl if I get preggy in the months of April, May and June this year, haha! Keeping my fingers crossed *wink*. Enjoy the rest of the week everyone and thank you so much for the comments on my previous entry!
